Injury Recovery and Prevention

Exercise is always a balancing act between working hard enough to get results and staying healthy enough to keep working out.

Many of my clients over the years have come to me after attempting exercising on their own and gotten hurt along the way, preventing them from continuing to exercise. Or to exercise so mildly trying to avoid pain that they just don’t get the results they are looking for. I understand how frustrating it can be going to the gym and feeling like you are just wasting your time.

The first thing i always do is ask questions about injury history and design a custom program that allows you to work around injuries while simultaneously focusing on rehabilitating those chronically painful areas. As we age, old injuries affect the way we move and cause bodily asymmetries that compound those injured areas while exposing our bodies to new injuries as we try to compensate for the old injuries. It’s a viscious cycle, as anyone who has ever lived with chronic pain can testify to.

Concentrating on a program of strength, flexibility, and balance training, together we will work towards reclaiming the symmetry of the body and put an end to the cycle of chronic pain.

My training style is very fast paced and my clients consistently tell me how amazed they are how time flies during our workouts. I design it to be like that on purpose, because no one likes a boring workout! Rather than forcing people to do long, tedious cardio sessions I break up the cardio into short bursts, constantly keeping things moving along while simultaneously keeping the heart rate up throughout the entire workout. besides being fun, it also happens to be the most efficient method of training.
